Presenting 88 Formations, 4.472 New IPB University Students Break MURI Record
The cheers of IPB University’s 62nd batch of new students, ‘Jatayu Harsakala,’ echoed across the Gelora Field as the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI) officially awarded them the record for the “Most 3D Comic Illustration Configurations Using Tote Bags by New Students.”
This record was achieved thanks to the participation of 4.472 new IPB University students who successfully presented a spectacular performance featuring 88 formations using the record-breaking medium of tote bags at the Gelora Field, IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor (8/15).
The formations depicted various themes, ranging from the history of IPB’s journey, international achievements, strategic issues of focus, to various other aspects reflecting the spirit and identity of IPB University. All formations were carefully designed to leave a profound impression.
The Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria, expressed his appreciation for this achievement. According to him, this activity is proof that IPB’s new students are innovative and environmentally conscious individuals.
“I am extremely proud and happy. You are innovative individuals, especially since the record medium used does not generate waste. This demonstrates that IPB cares about the environment and is always focused on new things. You are truly remarkable,” said Prof Arif.
He added that this activity reflects the creativity and future-oriented practice of the new students. “These new students are future leaders, not merely followers. May you always be healthy, successful, and bring benefits to society,” he added.
Meanwhile, MURI representative Andre Purwandono stated that it was an honor for MURI to present this award to IPB University.
“A total of 4.472 students have created remarkable work. They are all the future of Indonesia, whose contributions are greatly needed. You are amazing today; even now, I still get goosebumps!” he said.
Furthermore, this record refers to MURI’s main category, namely superlative or quantifiable, with the assessment based on the number of new students forming 3D comic illustrations using tote bags.
“This activity is extraordinary. We hope it can continue to be improved. This is not the end, but the beginning of something great in the future,” he concluded. (*/AS) (IAAS/ANF)
