IPB University Accepts 1.034 Prospective Students Through the Independent Admission Pathway for Undergraduate Programs, Here Are the 10 Programs with the Highest Competition Rates

IPB University officially announced the results of the 2025 Independent Admission Selection (SM-IPB) for the Bachelor’s Degree (S1) program on Tuesday (7/1). The announcement can be accessed online by participants through the official website https://registrasi.admisi.ipb.ac.id.

The Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs at IPB University, Prof Dr Deni Noviana, explained that out of a total of 4.340 SM-IPB applicants who took part in this year’s selection process, 1.034 participants were accepted as new students (camaba) at IPB University. A total of 308 students were accepted as alternates. 

In 2025, the SM-IPB selection process will use an online exam method with two participant categories:

1) SM-IPB Eligible SNBP 2025 (participants of the 2025 SNBP who were not accepted as new students through the SNBP pathway at any state university),

2) SM-IPB Eligible UTBK Score (graduates from the past three years who took the 2025 UTBK-SNBT exam, including Package C graduates with a maximum age of 25 years as of July 1, 2025).

“This Independent Selection Pathway provides an additional opportunity for prospective students who have not been accepted through other pathways,” said Prof Deni.

Participants who are declared eligible through the SM-IPB pathway are required to re-register online via the website https://registrasi.admisi.ipb.ac.id. The online registration process and payment of the Single Tuition Fee (UKT) for accepted participants will be conducted from July 1–4, 2025.

During the re-registration process, if prospective students encounter difficulties in filling out the form or other processes, IPB University provides online assistance through the portal https://halo.admisi.ipb.ac.id.
