Agrianita IPB University held the peak event of Agrianita Day 2025 at Grha Widya Wisuda Building (5/22). The theme “Productive Agrianita” that was carried out symbolized Agrianita’s commitment in encouraging productivity, creativity, and social care in the environment of IPB University and its surroundings.

The peak event of Agrianita Day 2025 became an appreciation event through giving awards to the best Agrianita Faculty/School, the best Agrianita unit, the best Agrianita management, as well as the winners of the Productive Agrianita video competition, cooking competition, Garden Challenge, and Instagram Challenge.

Chairperson of Agrianita IPB University, Retna Widayawati, in her speech said that the theme of Productive Agrianita was chosen as a reflection of the spirit of IPB women who continue to work and contribute.

“Agrianita is not just a companion organization, but also a strategic partner in character building and campus welfare,” she said.

Retna also appreciated the spirit of collaboration built between Agrianita and various work units and faculties at IPB University, including synergy in the implementation of social, educational, environmental, and creative economic programs. She emphasized that Agrianita’s success was the result of the cooperation, solidarity, and dedication of its members spread across all faculties and units at IPB.

“We are here to continue to support and make a real contribution to IPB University, especially in realizing an inclusive, healthy, productive, and humanist campus environment,” she concluded.

Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria, also appreciated the great role of Agrianita in encouraging productivity and welfare. “Agrianita has shown extraordinary progress, not only within the internal scope of the campus, but also has a direct impact on students, alumni, and society.”

“One concrete form of Agrianita’s contribution is the sustainability of the Warung Kita program with alumni who provide subsidized nutritious food for students by serving 250-300 servings per day,” said Prof Arif.

He also highlighted the importance of reducing the living expenses of employees through a scholarship program for children of contract and casual daily workers (THL), which has now reached more than 800 children.

Prof Arif closed his remarks with appreciation for Agrianita’s initiatives in campus health and environmental hygiene programs, such as health checks, clean toilet and musala programs, and revitalization of campus parks.

“No less important is economic empowerment. The works of the Agrianita women are now not only of artistic value, but also of economic value. This is proof that their creativity and productivity continue to grow,” he concluded. (IAAS/TNY)
