IPB University and Beyondsoft Establish Strategic Collaboration, Encourage Smart Farming

IPB University has established a strategic collaboration with global technology company Beyondsoft, to encourage the implementation of smart farming in Indonesia. 

This collaboration includes the application of digital solutions in the agricultural sector, integrated project management, and synergy of expertise between IPB University and Beyondsoft. The goal is to create new growth opportunities and operational spaces in the field of smart agriculture.

This cooperation was officially marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between IPB University and Beyondsoft at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) Beijing, Sunday (5/25). 

The signing was held before the inauguration of the International Branch Leadership Council (DPC) of the IPB Alumni Association (HA) of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) on the same day.

Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria explained, IPB and Beyondsoft agreed to collaborate comprehensively and closely in the application of smart agricultural solutions, investment and project operations, and promotion of product technology.

“This collaboration is a real step for IPB University in supporting the vision of becoming a technosocio-entrepreneurial university. We are committed to continuing to develop innovation and technology to advance Indonesia’s agricultural sector,” he said.

Furthermore, according to Prof Arif, the collaboration between IPB University and Beyondsoft is built on Beyondsoft’s domestic and international experience in developing smart technology in field agriculture, facilities, livestock, and fisheries. Meanwhile, IPB University has advantages in multi-industry investment operations.

“IPB University and Beyondsoft will collaborate closely to advance in-depth cooperation in such business scenarios both domestically and internationally. We will combine our respective resources in agriculture, including capital and technology, to implement comprehensive project management and operations,” he explained.

On the other hand, Beyondsoft, which has more than 80 offices and development centers in countries such as the United States, Japan, India, and Indonesia, is known for its expertise in cloud, data, and AI-based solutions. With its global experience and strong innovation capabilities, Beyondsoft will contribute advanced technologies in this collaboration.

Through this collaboration, IPB University and Beyondsoft hope to expand the influence of Indonesian agricultural technology to the international market, while creating innovative solutions that address future global food challenges. (*/Rz) (IAAS/RMH)
