The School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (SKHB) at IPB University has officially established a partnership with MEDIVET Group to implement a student internship program.
The Cooperation Agreement (PKS) was signed by Dean of SKHB IPB University Dr drh Amrozi and President Director of MEDIVET Group Mikaela Astari Oen.
This collaboration aims to strengthen the synergy between academia and industry, particularly in the field of animal health.
Through this partnership, students will have the opportunity to intern at various veterinary clinics and hospitals under the MEDIVET Group, which includes PT Dharma Bakti Insani, PT Mitra Kawan Fauna, and PT Groovy Vetcare.
“This collaboration is a concrete step toward realizing the ‘link and match’ paradigm between higher education and industry, to produce professional graduates who are ready to enter the workforce,” said Dr. drh Amrozi in his speech.
The scope of the agreement covers three types of internship programs: Mandatory Hospital Internship for Veterinary Professional Education (PPDH) students, Elective Professional Internship for PPDH students, and Undergraduate Internship for students from various study programs under SKHB.
Under the agreement, SKHB IPB University is responsible for managing academic preparation, submitting internship candidates, preparing guidance materials, and carrying out monitoring and evaluation.
Meanwhile, MEDIVET Group will provide internship sites, mentoring veterinarians, and the necessary facilities and infrastructure.
“With the launch of this internship opportunity, we hope to make a real contribution to improving the quality of human resources in the field of animal health,” said Mikaela Astari Oen on behalf of MEDIVET Group.
This collaboration is expected to broaden students’ perspectives, provide hands-on experience in the professional world, and strengthen IPB University’s position as a higher education institution that adapts to industry needs and current developments. (IAAS/RWA)
