Improving Ciwaru Tourism Potential, IPB University Students Design Profile Video and Tourism Interpretation Map
Students of IPB UniversityThematic Real Work Lecture (KKNT) Ciwaru Village, Ciemas District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java, carried out a program to make a video profile of Ciwaru Village.
The making of this profile video aims to show the public the profile and introduction of the village which includes geographical conditions, population aspects, socio-economic aspects of culture, and population aspects. The profile video will later be uploaded on various digital platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.
In making the profile video, the Village Chief, Hamlet Chief, and the community around Ciwaru Village participated.
According to Ciwaru Village Secretary Risna Kurniadi, Ciwaru Village has various potentials. Starting from the agricultural sector, fisheries/marine, and tourism. The three sectors, he said, must be developed as well as promoted to support the welfare of the people involved in it.
“The village actually also has a goal and is required to have a village profile video that contains the potentials contained therein. Therefore, the village profile video work program from KKNT Innovation IPB University students is very relevant to one of the goals of Ciwaru Village,” he said.
Therefore, he said, his party would help IPB University students in the making process, both in terms of facilities and infrastructure.
Sofian Annas, one of the KKNT Innovation IPB University students, said that he and his team also installed the Ciwaru Village tourism interpretation map board in the Palangpang Beach area. This map board provides information about the main tourist sites in Ciwaru Village, namely Curug Sodong, Curug Cikanteh and Palangpang Beach.
“The information on the map board is equipped with a barcode that can be scanned to get more details about the three tourist sites, as well as a direction map to the tourist attractions,” he explained.
He said that the making of this tourist interpretation board was strongly supported and assisted by village officials, tourist attraction managers and the surrounding community. Both work programs aim to increase the visibility and attractiveness of Ciwaru Village tourism through the optimization of digital information.
“We hope that with the profile video and interpretation map board, tourists will more easily access information related to tourism potential in Ciwaru Village, which in turn can increase the number of tourist visits and the local economy,” he said. (*/Rz) (IAAS/HRD)
