Department of SKPM IPB University Conducts Training on the Application of Participatory Techniques, Improving Students’ Soft Skills

Department of Communication and Community Development (SKPM), Faculty of Human Ecology (Fema) IPB University organized a Training on the Application of Participatory Techniques. This training is a soft skill grant activity that is carried out online through Zoom Meeting.

Present as resource persons, IPB University lecturers from the SKPM Department (Dr Ninuk Purnaningsih, Zessy Ardinal Barlan, MSi, and Mohamad Shohibuddin, MSi) and outside resource persons, namely Gadri Ramadhan Attamimi, MSi (Econusa), Said Abdullah, MSi (People’s Coalition for Food Sovereignty), and Eko Cahyono, MSi (Sajogyo Institute).

This training activity was aimed at active students of D4 and S1 programs attended by IPB Vocational School, Faculty of Human Ecology IPB, Faculty of Forestry IPB, Faculty of Economics and Management IPB, Universitas Brawijaya, and Universitas Muhammadiyah Kotabumi.

This activity is designed to enhance critical thinking, creativity, ideation, communication, problem solving, collaboration, decision making, and social learning. Thus, in the future the participants will be able to recognize the community to carry out an activity with the community.

Dr Ninuk Purnaningsih as the chief organizer of the training activities expressed her hope that this activity could be useful for the participants. The participants will certainly get new experiences while in the field, the challenges faced, and how the follow-up plan after attending this training. (*/Rz) (IAAS/HLF)
