During the Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKNT) Innovation program, IPB University students carried out a series of activities focused on designing the coastal area of Laran Village, Rembang Regency, West Java. This initiative aimed to develop the village’s coastal tourism potential while providing a tangible contribution to environmental preservation and boosting the local economy.

“Laran Village has coastal potential that has not been optimally utilized. Through this program, IPB University students took the initiative to design an environmentally friendly and sustainable coastal area,” explained Gilang Daksana, a representative of the KKNT Innovation team.

He further stated that this activity is also expected to serve as a stimulus for the local community in managing and preserving their natural assets.

The coastal area design was presented to the village officials, residents, and local leaders at the Laran Village Hall. The presentation aimed to introduce the proposed coastal area design and to explain the implementation plans and expected benefits.

“The coastal area design activity in Laran Village is one form of IPB University students’ service to the community. It is hoped that the proposed design will serve as a reference for sustainable coastal area development and provide long-term benefits to Laran Village and its surroundings,” he concluded.
