The Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria, administered the oath of office to 87 people consisting of Lectors, Expert Assistants, Archivists, Civil Servant Lecturers, Permanent Non-PNS Lecturers, Permanent Non-PNS Education Staff. The inauguration ceremony was held at Graha Widya Wisuda, IPB Dramaga Campus, on 14/12.

“On behalf of IPB University, I congratulate you who have been officially appointed. I hope that this position will become capital for us to continue to spread benefits to our environment because the best human beings are those who benefit others,” said Prof Arif Satria, Rector of IPB University.

The Rector said, these benefits must be of sustainable quality, long term and have a big effect on the progress of the Indonesian nation.

“The awards that IPB University currently has reflect its reputation and achievements which are an accumulation since the founding of IPB University until today, because IPB University today would not be possible without the great work of our teachers in the past,” he said.

“I will continue to appeal to the IPB University community to provide the best work so that we can achieve a reputation which will become our capital to improve the quality and progress of IPB University,” said the Rector of IPB University.

He said that happiness is created because of three things, namely having a good family, good friends and a good job, according to your heart’s calling and loving what you do.

“Loving what we do will be the capital for success, because if we don’t love what we do then work will become a burden, if work becomes a burden, we can’t work with our heart so we won’t be able to achieve success,” said Prof Arif.

“If we work from the heart, it will encourage us to have grit or perseverance through passion. “Loving what we do and working harder than other people is a combination that will make us persistent or gritty, because people who have grit will be greater than people who have talent,” he said.

He hopes that with grit, working with heart, and the capital to have a good mindset, the entire IPB University community can achieve their dreams and become superior individuals.

“Let’s focus on improving our superior personal qualities and show that we can all be trustworthy and responsible so that there will be even greater trust in us,” said Prof Arif

“Hopefully we are all people who continue to have an increasingly better reputation, becoming superior individuals because that is the capital for IPB University to achieve progress,” he concluded. (Lp) (IAAS/AMR).
