Awardee of LPDP Postgraduate School IPB University Together with Potensial.id Holds Free Health Checks in the 3T Region of Lampung
To increase public awareness of the importance of health, the Awardee Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP) for Postgraduate Schools (SPs) IPB University and Potensial.id held free health checks for the community in Way Narta Village, North Coast District, West Coast District, Lampung Province. This activity collaborated with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of Pesisir Barat Regency and received support from the Telkomsel Taqwa Council (MTT) and Dompet Dhuafa.
Way Narta Village is a disadvantaged, frontier and outermost (3T) area with less developed geographical, social, economic and cultural conditions compared to other regions on a national scale.
Gunawan, Coordinator of the LPDP SPs IPB University Awardee said that this health check activity was a form of real contribution that students receiving the Ministry of Finance scholarships could make to the community directly.
“We express our gratitude to all parties and donors who have collaborated together to make this activity a success. Hopefully this activity can provide benefits and can increase understanding of health for Way Narta residents,” said Gunawan.
This program received good response and full support from local residents. A total of 80 residents attended this activity. Health checks include checking blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, uric acid and others.
Hamidi, Chief of Pesisir Utara District expressed his appreciation for this program. He is of the view that residents are greatly helped by the free health check program conducted. “Hopefully useful programs such as free health checks will not stop today, but will also continue in the future,” he concluded.
In the same vein, Rifky Zainal as Chief of Potensial.id revealed that this activity was very useful for residents. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of the residents who attended. According to him, the health workers involved in this activity are optimal enough.
“Residents who attended were not only from Way Narta Village, but from other villages as well. The hope is that through the collaboration of LPDP SPs IPB University, PMI Pesisir Barat and donors who have supported this activity, it can continue to be improved and can be maintained in the future,” he explained.
