DKSRA IPB University Holds a Scientific Publication Workshop in the Field of Agriculture, Forest and Fisheries

IPB University's Directorate of Strategic Studies and Academic Reputation (DKSRA) is holding a scientific publication workshop. This workshop is intended for young lecturers and Postgraduate students of IPB University who have draft scientific article manuscripts in the field of Agriculture, Forest and Fisheries which are expected to meet the requirements for publication in reputable international journals (Scopus indexed, minimum Q3).

"DKSRA IPB University is always committed to monitoring and establishing communication with participants until the publication target is achieved. Through the IPB Publication House service which can be accessed by all members of the community free of charge, it is hoped that this service can be used optimally by activity participants to help improve the quality of manuscripts," said the Director of KSRA, Prof Anuraga Jayanegara.

The series of activities consisted of delivering material and coaching agendas as well as mentoring by reviewers of 26 registered manuscripts. The material presented included tips and tricks for writing quality and attractive manuscripts by Dr Willy Bayuardi Suwarno, lecturer at the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture; ethics in scientific writing by Dr Beginer Subhan, lecturer in the Department of Marine Science and Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences IPB).

The material was closed with a presentation by Dr Yudi Setiawan, lecturer at the Department of Conservation of Forest and Ecotourism, Faculty of Forestry and Environment regarding the considerations for choosing the right journal as a publication target, as well as how to correspond with editors and reviewers. The reviewers involved are IPB University lecturers who have expertise that has been adapted to the field of participant manuscripts. (Tia/Rz) (IAAS/Res)
