IPB University Himasiter Conducts Feed Industry Visit to PT Sugeng Jaya Group

IPB University students from the Department of Nutrition and Feed Technology (INTP), Faculty of Animal Science batches 57 and 58 participated in a feed industry visit to PT Sugeng Jaya Group, recently. This visit is one of the work programs of the Feed Industry Division, Bureau of Science and Profession of the Animal Feed and Nutrition Student Association (Himasiter).
This visit activity themed 'Feed Industry Professionals Quality'. The chief executive for the feed industry visit, Sekar Ayu Hawatama Ramadhani said that the purpose of this activity was as a form of direct learning to get to know the process, situation and conditions of the feed industry in Indonesia, one of which is PT Sugeng Jaya Group.
"PT Sugeng Jaya Group is a feed industry engaged in animal feed, especially ruminants. The feed industry has been in business for about six years by producing 60 tons of feed per day. Apart from producing ruminant animal feed, PT Sugeng Jaya Group also sells dried insects, mealworm as bird feed," explained Sekar who is an INTP IPB University student batch 57.
Founder of PT Sugeng Jaya Group, Benny Akbar Kurniawan said, the superior product 'Superfeed' from PT Sugeng Jaya Group is concentrate feed that has been distributed outside Java and can be purchased through online and offline stores.
During this visit, Benny recounted the beginning of the founding of PT Sugeng Jaya Grup. The ups and downs he lived through introduced a sense of optimism that had been instilled since he was still in college until finally PT Sugeng Jaya Grup was as successful as it is today. The participants were very enthusiastic to ask questions to build a positive discussion.
"With this visit, it is hoped that it will increase the relationship between INTP IPB University students with experienced figures in the feed industry and add knowledge regarding the selection of feed ingredient agents, the selection of feed ingredients, the process of making animal feed, packaging, warehousing and marketing both online and offline," she hope.
