IPB University's Directorate of Global Connectivity held 'Matchmaking IPB University-Oregon State University 2023', some time ago. Presenting five researchers from IPB University and five researchers from Oregon State University (OSU). The 2023 matchmaking participants are students, lecturers and researchers from IPB and domestic universities and institutions. This event aims to find suitable partners to strengthen cooperation between IPB University and OSU.

Dr David Stone, a representative from OSU said, “We need to follow up on today's activities by making real collaborations. Thank you to the IPB University team who coordinated this agenda. Also the speakers from IPB University who have taken the time to prepare and deliver the material."

Dr. Eva Anggraini as the Director of Global Connectivity of IPB University said, "Thank you to all the speakers. I found many ideas that IPB University and OSU could follow up on. I really look forward to the follow-up of the various ideas presented in the presentation and discussion sessions. We will be happy to facilitate cooperation between the two universities.”

Also present was Prof. Iskandar Z Siregar as Vice Chancellor of IPB University in the field of Global Connectivity, Cooperation and Alumni to open this matchmaking activity. Dr David Stone and Dr Azis Boing Sitanggang, IPB University lecturers had the opportunity to guide the event as moderators.

Each speaker presented a different topic, including Gail Langellotto (Green spaces, urban ecology and sustainability), Prof. Suria Darma Tarigan (Green Infrastructure and Water Sensitive Issues), Dr. Michael Qian (Flavor Chemistry and Trace Volatile Analysis, Flavor Interactions with Food Components, Food Analysis, Chromatography and Separations, Spectrometry and Natural Products Chemistry).

Material was also delivered by Prof. Hanifah Lioe (Food chemistry, Taste Perception, Savory Compounds of Indonesian and Japanese Soy Sauces), Dr. Jung Kwon (Biological Functions of Natural Dietary Molecules Derived from Marine Resources in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention), Dr. Nancy D Yuliana (Plant Metabolomics, Natural Product Chemistry), Ford Evans (Aquaculture Technology), Dr Julie Ekasari (Aquaculture), Bryan Endress (Soil Carbon, Environmental Biophysics, Water Erosion, Soil Hydrology, Soil Physics) and Dr Baba Barus (Land Degradation, Soil erosion).
