SNPMB Executive Secretary Reviews UTBK Location at IPB University
Executive Secretary of the National Selection for New Student Admission (SNPMB) 2023, Bekti Cahyo Hidayanto, SSi, MKom reviewed several locations for the implementation of the National Selection for New Student Admission (SNPB) 2023 at IPB Dramaga Campus (22/5).
In his observation, Bekti assessed that the implementation of the Computer-Based Written Test – National Selection Based on Prestige (UTBK – SNBT) at IPB University went well. “We see the computer infrastructure, the room, as far as I can see between one personal computer (PC) and another PC all are good,” he said.
He also appreciated the committee’s preparation in terms of arrangements for introducers or parents who were in a distant separate place and all exam locations at IPB University had used metal detectors.
In addition, he saw that the rules and supervisors this year were orderly. Bekti did not see any supervisors on duty while doing other work so they were not focused. “Now I see that it has been paid close attention and is quite strict,” he said.
However, he gave several notes, including those related to CCTV that leads to the participant’s screen being disabled. This step is to anticipate avoiding question leaks that are captured and uploaded to the internet.
“We must avoid the possibility of leaks occurring,” he said again. He also hopes that he will not find students who go back and forth to the toilet because the rules are not allowed.
Bekti also assessed that the location of the exam which was spread across several points and far apart at IPB University was an advantage in itself so that there was no visible crowd. Because the location is far and the road goes up and down, he suggested that there should be signs or QR codes to the location to make it easier for participants. (dh/Rz)(IAAS/TNY)
