Still in the series of Festival Hari Kartini 2023, Agrianita IPB University held a cooking competition on Tuesday (23/5). The event which took place in the front yard of the IPB University Museum was attended by various Agrianita teams at the faculty level.

On the occasion, the Head of Agrianita IPB University, Retna Widayawati, symbolically opened the event.

"This cooking competition is one of a series of festivals as a manifestation of Agrianita IPB University members who do not forget their nature as a mother. Therefore, let us celebrate this festival and interpret it with positive things," said Retna.

Each participant was challenged to be creative by making processed chicken dishes. Not only cooking competitions, there was also an educational session on hypertension presented by Tropicana Slim Certified Health Educator, Glenn Bima Wibisono.

Enthusiasm enveloped every participant of the competition. This was felt by the Agrianita team of Vocational School (SV) IPB University represented by Drh Tetty Barunawati Siagian and Dian Eka Ramadhani. Both admitted that they were happy to be able to participate in the competition.

"Besides being fun, we get a lot of material about nutrition which is very important for the body. As a woman, we are encouraged to always be creative. More than that, this Festival Hari Kartini made us realize how important it is to fulfill good nutrition for children. The role of mothers is very big and important, both inside and outside the home," said Dian.

Complementing Dian, Drh Tetty also said that this activity made us realize the role of women who must always develop themselves.

"As women, we must be able to contribute and set an example for others. This festival is not only a gathering place for cross-faculty members, but also celebrates our struggle as women," she concluded. (Igno/Rz) (IAAS/MKY)
