The Directorate of Strategic Studies and Academic Reputation (DKaSRA) of IPB University back to organised assistance for five scientific journals of IPB University. This assistance was carried out in connection with the opening of the Arjuna Portal, which is a portal for applying Science and Technology Index (Sinta) accreditation.

Assistant Director for Academic Reputation of DKaSRA IPB University, Dr drh Mokhamad Fakhrul Ulum explained, the five journals assisted consisted of journals that had been nationally accredited with Sinta ratings 3 and 4 with their accreditation validity period expiring. This makes these journals need to be better prepared for the reaccreditation process so that the target of achieving higher accreditation can be obtained.

"Hopefully, all journals that are currently assisted can achieve a higher accreditation rating than the previous rating," he explained in his opening remarks in the Meeting Room of DKaSRA Office, IPB Dramaga University, Bogor.

He added that the purpose of this activity was to monitor the progress of each journal in preparing the reaccreditation process. This activity was a continuation of the reaccreditation assistance activities that had previously been carried out last March. As before, the journals have received reviews from the resource person, Dr Iman Rusmana, regarding the things that need to be improved.

At this follow-up mentoring, representatives of the managers of each journal presented the results of these improvements and the progress of their readiness to apply for reaccreditation. Dr Iman again gave a review of the progress of the journal which still had to be maximized as the latest rules and requirements in the Sinta journal assessment process.

"We always remain fully committed to overseeing the process of improving the quality of scientific journals at IPB University, including in the process of Sinta reaccreditation and reputable international indexation. Hopefully, after receiving input and correction of improvements from the speakers in this activity, the journals participating in the assistance can further maximize their preparations so that they can achieve a higher accreditation rank, namely Sinta 2," concluded Dr drh Mokhamad Fakhrul Ulum.
