HMI Fapet IPB University Feeds Orphans at Al-Munawwar Orphanage Bogor

The sacred month of Ramadan is the right moment to compete in spreading kindness and benefits. This moment was also utilised by IPB University students from the Faculty of Animal Science (Fapet) to organise orphan charity activities, (16/4).

IPB University students who are members of the Muslim’s Student Association (HMI) handed over basic daily necessities and cash assistance to a number of orphans at Al-Munawwar Orphanage, Bogor.

Donations were collected from cadres to alumni and directly handed over to the Al-Munawwar Orphanage management in the form of basic daily necessities and cash.

The donation was handed over directly by the Chairman of HMI Commissariat Fapet IPB University. “Alhamdulillah, this assistance is the peak programme of the Ramadan Series. Of course, this programme is a form of our efforts and commitment in realising a just and prosperous society that is blessed by Allah SWT,” he said.

He added, “In this case, we take the positive essence of surah Al Ma’un so that the desire to provide compensation arises. We would also like to thank all donors and parties who helped in the implementation of this programme.”

“Hopefully through this small step, HMI Commissariat Fapet IPB University can become a role model for other organisations to continue to contribute in developing this country,” added Dodi as the general secretary.

The handover of assistance was welcomed by Mrs Yus as the caretaker of the orphanage. She expressed her gratitude to HMI Commissariat Fapet IPB University and to those involved as donors.

“Hopefully this activity can be useful and help the orphanage to continue to accommodate children until they are able to work for religion, nation and state,” she added. (*/Rz) (IAAS/MKY)
