Head of PSP3 IPB University Appoints 2023 KSPR Management, Forms SPR Field Station SASPRI Scholarship
Head of the Center for Agricultural and Rural Development Studies (PSP3) IPB University, Prof Muladno inaugurated the management of the People's Animal Husbandry School Club (KSPR) at the IPB Baranangsiang Campus, Bogor (8/4). In addition to the inauguration of the new management for the 2023-2024 term, at this moment a new chairman of the KSPR, Diffa Ulinnuha, was also elected.
At this moment, KSPR also pioneered a flagship program in the form of establishing the SPR Field Station Alumni Solidarity Scholarship for the Indonesian People's Animal Husbandry School (SASPRI). These field stations are located in two locations, namely Nanggung District and Cigudeg District, Bogor Regency, West Java.
"These two field stations which are located close together have a very strategic location because they are in the buffer zone of Mount Halimun Salak National Park, the plantation area of PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) VIII and adjacent to PT Aneka Tambang Gold Mining Business Unit (UBPE) Pongkor," said Prof Muladno who is also the Main Trustee of SASPRI.
In addition, the 2023-2024 management KSPR will support the formation of a professional system for the 22 currently established SASPRI Regions. The establishment of this professional system includes strengthening the Regional SASPRI database, developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), designing digital systems and so on.
"With this function, it is hoped that KSPR can become a forum for developing the competencies of all IPB University multi-competence students," he added.
The coach of the KSPR, Dr Bramada Winiar Putra explained, the 2023-2024 KSPR administrators also participated in carrying out fieldwork activities as well as site investigations at the development site of the SASPRI Scholarship SPR field statistics in Cigudeg and Nanggung. The activity was carried out the day after the inauguration.
"This is a form of the seriousness of the KSPR 2023/2024 administrators. They immediately carry out productive activities in the form of assessing the quality of the silage produced by the sheep breeders in Cigudeg District. Trials of giving silage to goats in Cigudeg District and sheep in Nanggung District, as well as coordinating with young farmers in Nanggung District," said the SPR Field Station Development Coordinator.
The Head of the National SASPRI Supergrins Program hopes that in the future KSPR can become a vehicle for forming the entrepreneurial spirit and character of IPB University students as well as being an inspiration for the formation of national KSPR integration for all Indonesian students.
Also present at the inauguration ceremony were the Main Director of PT Perisai Muda Notonegoro (Arya Wishnuardi), the Co-Founder of PT Es Teh Indonesia (Aussie Andry VM) and the SPR Field Station Development Team (Drh Muh Farid Abdullah Zain). (IAAS/Res)
