SKHB IPB University Establishes Collaboration with Polda Unit of Dit Samapta Polda Metro Jaya

The School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Science (SKHB) IPB University has visited the Animal Police Unit (Polsatwa) of the Samapta Directorate, Regional Police (Polda) Metro Jaya (28/2). The activity of this visit was in the context of collaboration between SKHB IPB University and Polda Metro Jaya.

The collaboration includes opportunities for students of the SKHB IPB University Veterinary Education Program (PPDH) to carry out field practice and animal health training (sniffer dogs) for Polsatwa Unit personnel.
 
The visiting group consisted of expert Drh Arni Diana Fitri, MSi, accompanying lecturer Drh Arifin Budiman Nugraha, MSi, PhD and several PPDH SKHB IPB University students.

IPB University's SKHB visit was welcomed by Head of K9 Unit, Head of Cakkal K9 Sub unit Iptu Vin Suhartanto, Iptu M Saragih, Head of Harvet Sub unit Ipda Pande Nyoman, as well as several representatives from the K9 Unit Personnel of the Samapta Directorate.
 
"The activity this time being carried out with SKHB IPB University is checking the cage area in general, checking the animal release area, checking air circulation, and checking animal health such as checking blood and checking animal body temperature," explained Iptu Vin Suhartanto.

In this activity, said Iptu M Saragih, PPDH students helped carry out routine inspections of animals in the K9 Unit. "The next activity plan is training for Polsatwa Unit personnel which is planned to be held next month at IPB University Bogor," he said. (AP/Zul) (IAAS/Res)
