The Legal Bureau of IPB University conducted a visit to the Pasir Sarongge Experimental Garden of IPB, Cianjur some time ago. On that occasion, the Head of the Legal Services Division, Legal Bureau of IPB University, Waluya Suprihartono, SH, revealed that a part of the Pasir Sarongge Experimental Garden became the location for setting up emergency tents for evacuees who were victims of the Cianjur earthquake.

"In our opinion, this is part of IPB University's social support for victims and the local government in disaster management," he added.

Waluya said the visit was conducted to check the physical condition of IPB University's land which had been acquired since 1991. The activity was carried out with assistance from the General Directorate and Infrastructure of IPB University.

He added that the experimental garden in Pasir Sarongge already has a Right to Use Certificate No. 6/Ciputri on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia Cq the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. The land area is 71,265 square meters (m2).

"Based on the results of the survey, currently the land is used for the Experimental Garden of the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture (AGH), the Faculty of Agriculture (Faperta) with an area of 40,000 m2, the Experimental Garden for the Department of Plant Protection, Faperta with an area of 3,625 m2 and the Agribusiness and Technology Park (ATP) with an area of 28,000 m2. m2," he explained.

He said that the land belonging to IPB University is directly adjacent to the surrounding community, so it is necessary to monitor the buildings of residents who are suspected of being able to enter the area of land belonging to IPB University.

On the same occasion, the Assistant Director of Facilities Infrastructure and Asset Inventory, General Directorate and Infrastructure of IPB University, Sulistiyono added that this activity was part of optimizing land use and use.

"This site visit is also to clarify the boundaries in the Pasir Sarongge Experimental Garden area, Cianjur," he said.

In addition, site visits are carried out to convey information as well as to support Public Information Disclosure (KIP) in order to create a positive social impact on the institution.
