The Family of Marine Science Students (KMKL) of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) visited the Marine Science and Technology Student Association (Himiteka), Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) IPB University at the Dramaga Campus of IPB, Bogor, some time ago. The visit in the context of this comparative study coincided with the Allo Bank X Duta Bangsa seminar.

The seminar with the theme “Growth Mindset Gen Z” was presented by M. Dyas Edwar from Duta Bangsa. This seminar is very suitable for students to have a strong mindset in the future, mainly to organize associations. “Even though he is still a student and is part of an association, this is not a barrier to being able to innovate and provide the best for each association,” he said.

Nadya Cakasana, MSi as the Student Commission of the Department of Marine Science and Technology FPIK IPB University appreciated the activities initiated by students this time. According to him, collaboration and creativity are mandatory to improve the quality of student organizations.

“I am happy with the initiation of Himiteka friends who have invited friends from ITB, moreover with the soft skills from the seminar filled by presenters. The hope is that it will be useful for all of you,” said Nadya.

He hopes that this comparative study will also serve as a momentum for the two groups to be able to stay in touch and collaborate to make their associations better.
“Hopefully, with this comparative study, we can collaborate between Himiteka IPB University and KMKL ITB for further work programs,” said Mirandika Idris, Chair of Himiteka IPB University. (SAB/RAT/Zul) (IAAS/Res)
