IPB University and PT CPI Inaugurated Vocational School Entrepreneurship Teaching Center
IPB University has long collaborated with PT Charon Pokhpand Indonesia (PT CPI). One of the collaboration results was the establishment of the Entrepreneurship Teaching Center (ETC) at the Vocational School of IPB University.
The inauguration was carried out by signing the inscription by the Rector of IPB University, Prof. Dr. Arif Satria and President Director Charoend Pokphand, Thomas Effendi, on Tuesday, February 21st at the IPB University Vocational School Campus, Cilibende, Bogor.
The Dean of the Vocational School of IPB University, Dr. Ir Arif Daryanto in his remarks expressed his appreciation and thanks for the PT CPI grant in the form of educational facilities for the Entrepreneurship Teaching Center (ETC) of the IPB University Vocational School.
Entrepreneurship Teaching Center (ETC) was established to build a student entrepreneurial spirit. There are currently 7000 vocational school students with 17 study programs. With the establishment of the Entrepreneurship Teaching Center (ETC), students are expected to be close to the industrial world and the business world.
"The learning mechanism implemented in Vocational Schools is currently a dual system, which is studying on campus and studying in the industry so that it is expected to produce graduates who are close to industry. Our curriculum is developed with a design between industry and school and trying to bring industry in schools," said Arif Daryanto
Dr. Arif Daryanto added that the involvement of Charoen Pokphand at IPB University had been felt for a long time and was very committed to developing exceptional education.
Meanwhile, the Rector of IPB University, Prof. Arif Satria said that the establishment of the Entrepreneurship Teaching Center (ETC) is expected to be a medium for continuing to prepare young people so that they can feel the atmosphere of the industry on campus, so that campus culture and industry can be balanced.
Prof. Arif Satria said some of the training at ETC was to train to understand the ins and outs of the extortion business. It is expected that the poultry business can grow because there are new actors from IPB University Vocational School graduates.Prof. Arif Satria said professionalism could encourage students to become entrepreneurs and present processed products that could be accepted by the market.
Also, according to the Rector, through the Entrepreneurship Teaching Center (ETC), it is hoped that it can encourage the quality of education in vocational schools. "IPB needs collaboration, IPB cannot be alone in strengthening the quality of education so that it can produce superior graduates," he said.
Prof. Arif Satria also expressed his gratitude to PT. CPI is always concerned in advancing education, improving the quality of education, providing scholarships for underprivileged students, and supporting educational facilities at IPB University.
Regarding the establishment of ETC, President Director Charoend Pokphand, Thomas Effendi said that ETC was built to create an entrepreneurial spirit for students. Through ETC, students will get various facilities such as entrepreneurship training which includes administration, business management, marketing strategy, and management of modern stores.
Commissioner of PT CPI, T Hadi Gunawan conveyed several grants that had been given to IPB. He said that PT CPI always feels paired with IPB University. Since 2002 it has given 20 scholarships every year to IPB University and in 2007 plus 40 scholarships. In 2007, PT CPI also presented a close house at the Faculty of Animal Science, IPB University. In the same year PT CPI had the opportunity to renovate the IPB University's School of Business School (SB) lecture room and in 2019 succeeded in building an Entrepreneurship Teaching Center (ETC) and had the opportunity to renovate agriananda learning facilities. The renovation was carried out so that the learning facilities were more comfortable and succeeded in creating graduates who were of character and benefit to the nation and state.
Thank you also conveyed by the Chairman of Agrianita IPB University, Neno Arif Satria, for the assistance of PT CPI in Agriananda IPB University Paud Surgery in the form of corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds for Agriananda service quality, revitalization of the renovation of play areas, game equipment, parking areas, warehouse, and other teaching facilities.
