Indramayu Residence Hopes IPB University Develop 10 SPR

School of Community Husbandry (SPR) team Research and Community Service Institution (LPPM) IPB University visited Indramayu Residence, Tuesday (5/11). This visit in order to socialization SPR program also follow up the SPR formation in Indramayu Residence.

This program attended by Chairman of SPR LPPM IPB University, Prof Muladno, Plt Indramayu Regent, Taufik Hidayat, SH, Head of Animal Health and Husbandry, Ir Joko Purnomo, Subdistrict Head Sliyeg and village heads and anima farmers in Indramayu Regency. IPB University team welcomed at Ki Tinggil Room, Region Secretary of Indramayu Residence.

On this opportunity, Prof Muladno said one of the SPR program aims is to wake up the farmers’ spirit to develop animal husbandry and animal farm structuring. Beside that, SPR also helps animal farmer through increasing awareness and strengthen community farm skill.

“This program aims to realize the community farm business in a collective business managed by one management, increasing farm business competition. SPR program in a region can be maximally developed for 4 years until farmer achieve one of SPR targets, that is realizing animal farmer independent and sovereignty collectively,” said the IPB University lecturer from Faculty of Animal Science.

Through this meeting, they hope LPPM IPB University and Indramayu Residence Government can synergize in collaborating well until SPR development implementation in Indramayu Residence can be realized.

Meanwhile, Plt Indramayu Regent, Taufik Hidayat SH delivered, SPR program and implementation have been waited by Indramayu animal farmer. He thought by SPR exists, they able to change animal farmers’ mindset, increase farmer’s skill and knowledge to receive science and technology.

He hoped IPB University team can develop SPR program in 10 villages in Sliyeg District by the cow commodity.

Same opinion by Head of Animal Health and Husbandry, Ir Joko Purnomo that in supporting SPR program, Indramayu Residence Government will build the mini feed factory in Majasari District so the farmer not buy concentrate outside Indramayu Residence. (NR)
