Navy Coordinator and IPB University Establish Cooperation
IPB University and the Indonesian National Armed Forces (Navy) RI established cooperation in the development of Human Resources (HR), research and development, to the implementation of country boundary expeditions. This collaboration was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Navy Staff and Command School (Seskoal), Ciledug. The signing was carried out by Laksda TNI Dr. Amarulla Oktavian, ST, MSc as School Staff Commander and Prof. Dr. Dodik Ridho Nurrochmat, MScF as Vice Rector for Cooperation and Information Systems, IPB University.
On this occasion Prof. Dodik Nurrochmat conveyed the importance of cooperation between the Navy and IPB University. "IPB University will certainly respond seriously regarding this agreement with the Indonesian Navy, especially Seskoal. We have an innovation that is Biscuits Clarias, these biscuits are made specifically for military activities. We also have satellites, namely LAPAN IPB University's Satellite which can be used for education, research and technology development both by IPB University, Seskoal, and those who concentrate on developing research in various sectors, ranging from agriculture, forestry, to fisheries and marine affairs, we are also developing a teleconference program so students can participate in lectures with other students at all over the world, "said the Professor of the Faculty of Forestry of IPB University.
Laksda Amarulla Oktavian also expressed her pride in the implementation of this cooperation agreement. "I am on behalf of the Navy Chief of Staff, thanking you for the implementation of this cooperation agreement. I hope that this agreement is not only to improve the accreditation of each agency. More than that, I hope that there are many studies that we can do together I also appreciate the activities of the State Boundary Expedition carried out by the Indonesian Navy and the IPB University Fauna Conservation Unit, I think that only IPB University has students conducting expeditions to the outer islands of the Republic of Indonesia. I hope that with this agreement, these programs can be implemented. even better, "he said.
With the implementation of this agreement, IPB University and the Navy especially in the Indonesian Navy's Staff and Command School officially collaborate in the field of education staff, agro-maritime research and development, provision of educational facilities and coastal area development, defense studies in the field of food security, scientific publications and training students who will carry out country expeditions, scientific publications in the fields of fisheries and agriculture, community service, and various other things that can be jointly developed by IPB University and also the School of Staff and Naval Command.
