Landscape Architecture Department (Dept. ARL), Faculty of Agriculture IPB University successfully and successfully carried out Focus Group Discussion (FGD) for the preparation of the K2020 Curriculum of Landscape Architecture Study Program which was attended by graduate user stakeholders and professional organizations namely the Indonesian Landscape Architect Association (IALI) and the Architectural Education Association Indonesian Landscape (APALI), Wednesday (24/7), at the Dramaga Campus.

This activity is a concrete step from the Dept. ARL IPB University in involving relevant stakeholders in the preparation of the curriculum. The aim is to build a common perception of stakeholders about the direction of curriculum reorientation in the Landscape Architecture Study Program (PS ARL), and most importantly, to obtain input from academics, users of graduates and professional organizations regarding curriculum materials both subjects and practicums in the Industrial Revolution era 4.0.

 This event is a response to the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education policy related to "Quality Improvement of Higher Education" so that learning development innovations can be precise and measurable in anticipation of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. It is hoped that PS ARL IPB University can produce competitive graduates according to the demands of the job market which are also changing rapidly. Therefore PS ARL requires input from stakeholders of graduate users and professional organizations so that the competencies of the graduates match the actual needs in the field.

From the FGD results obtained input on the skills expected by stakeholders as well as the strengths and shortcomings of ARL PS graduates. "The strength of ARL graduates is knowledge of tropical landscape biodiversity (plants and ecology) which is in line with the department's vision and mission. Another strength is PS ARL graduates who excel in making landscape architectural design concepts. While its weaknesses in terms of communication skills still need to be improved, "said Chairman of the Department of ARL IPB University, Dr. Ir Afra DN Makalew, MSc.

 In the final session of the FGD, stakeholders also provided input on competency requirements according to the Indonesian National Qualification Framework (KKNI) standard, IFLA Charter (International) and 16 skills power agile learners on work needs in accordance with Curriculum K2020 IPB). The results of the FGD were taken into consideration in the preparation of content and enrichment of the K2020 curriculum for the ARL Study Program. (GR / ris)
