LPPM IPB Funds 216 Research Titles on 2019 Financial Year
As many as 216 research titles from lecturers acquire funding from Institute of Research and Community Service IPB University (IPB) for the financial year of 2019. The signing of the decentralized, national competitive, and community service (new and continued) research assignments contracts for this financial year was done in Academic Senate Council Room, Andi Hakim Nasoetion Building, 6th Floor, IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor (6-7/5).
Head of LPPM IPB, Dr. Aji Hermawan congratulated the researchers whose proposals have been approved and funded. He also said that the signing of the contracts have to be done as soon as possible to ease the process and distribution of fund, and to avoid the postponing of administration.
IPB’s status as a legal entity (PTNBH), who has an autonomy in its management, eases the assessment related to administration to be more detailed by Audit Board of Republic of Indonesia (BPK).
“Because of that, in the future we hope that the research funding is truly based on output. Output of a research can be in the form of journal publication, prototype, patents, etc. The outputs are expected to increase with better quality, because the distribution of funding depends on how the output is valued,” he said.
The meant research programs are National Competitive Research Programs category Basic and Applied Studies, which include International Collaboration (KLN), Competency Grant Research (HIKOM), Doctorate Dissertation Research (PDD), Master to Doctorate Education Scholarship for Leading Bachelors (PMDSU) Batch 3, Developmental Researches, National Strategy (STRANAS) researches, Leading National Strategy Researches (PUSNAS), Master’s Thesis Researches (PTM), Decentralization Program Researches, which includes Higher Education Leading Basic Researches (PDUPT), Higher Education Leading Basic Researches (PTUPT), Local Leading Product Development Programs (PPPUD), Campus Intellectual Product Development Program (PPUPIK), Strategic Policy Studies (National Competitive) and World Class Research (National Competitive).
