Post-campus life is a life that will be lived by a student after completing his studies. Post-campus begins when someone has obtained a Graduation Certificate (SKL) and has graduated from the college where he studied.

But many students are still confused and feel they are not ready to face the post-campus world. Seeing the condition of the Student Executive Body (BEM) of the Faculty of Human Ecology (Fema) of IPB University in collaboration with the Nutrition Science Student Association (HIMAGIZI), IPB University’s Family and Consumer Science Professional Association (HIMAIKO) held Inspire 2019. Inspire 2019 with the theme Infinite Potential for The Better Future which aims to enable students to find their potential to prepare for a better future.

On this occasion, three speakers, each of whom work as dietitians or nutritionists, the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) and the Human Resource Supervisor from the television media agreed that it is very important for students to know their passion and interests in the future. This is to make it easier for graduates to choose suitable jobs. In post-campus life, passion plays an important role that determines the direction of the career in the future, whether to be an office worker, creative media industry worker or become an entrepreneur. All that underlies is passion.

According to Mabella Denantrini, Super TV Human Resource Supervisor, besides passion there are other things that are not less important in the post-campus world later. In the post-campus world, it is not enough to just work with passion without knowing the risks of the work being undertaken.

“Actually, there are two companies that need it. First, your passion. Second, know the consequences of the work you choose. Knowing the risks of a job that we are going to take is important to prepare mentally so that it is not easy to down when finding difficulties later. “Knowing the risk of someone’s work can also make him appear more professional and accomplished,” he said.

In addition, according to the speaker in the second session, Deva Mahenra, an actor and entrepreneur, in a post-campus world someone also needs good cooperation and communication skills. Both in work as an employee and as an entrepreneur, this ability is absolutely necessary for someone.

“In the world of entrepreneurs we collaborate with other people, collaborate, find partners, work together with others. If that is not the case, we cannot run our business, go bankrupt, “said the man who founded this coffee shop business.

In line with Deva, Fatma Silviani who works as a nutritionist also revealed the same thing. According to him, in hospitals, there is not only one profession but many professions that are encountered. “As a nutritionist, it is impossible to work alone but must work together with a doctor to cure the patient,” Fatma said, who served in the PON Jakarta hospital.

But before entering the post-campus world, there are things that can be prepared from college. That is personal branding. Personal branding is things that are built to show someone’s character to be different from the others. In the digital era like now, personal branding is generally done on social media such as Instagram and Youtube. To get personal branding also requires not a little time.

Benakribo, who works as creator content, says that personal branding is not something instant. It took a long time to build it. “Sometimes those people watch youtube videos because the creator’s personal branding is not solely because of the content,” said the man who is familiarly called Bang Bena.
