Commemorating Kartini Day, Agrianita IPB Distributes 1700 Food Packages

IPB University through Agrianita IPB again distributed food packages for the educational personnel of IPB, Saturday (20/4). This time 1700 food packages were distributed in commemoration of Kartini Day in 2019.

“In order to commemorate Kartini Day, Agrianita IPB initiated their social service employees to share happiness with IPB,” said Chairman Agrianita IPB, Neno Arif Satria.

Neno said, there are at least 1700 food packages which were distributed. The food packages were obtained from sponsors and donors, either provided individually or through a corporation. Some of the sponsors who participated in social work this time include the PTPN Holding, Bulog, Bank BNI, Charoed Pokphand, Indofood, Bogasari, Rosebrand, and individual donors.

“Today we do social activities as a form of our common concern for our neighbors as well,” said the Rector, Dr. Arif Satria.

Dr. Arif Satria hopes that similar social activities are not just a once a year event but can be held twice a year or more.

“Hopefully these little parcels can be beneficial to us all, especially for the recipient. And certainly donors will not get bored of donating a little for others, “said Arif Satria.

Previously, Agrianita IPB held social events in the form of inspection activities that cater for large families and communities around the IPB campus. The medical examination was held twice, on April 9 in Dramaga Campus and 23 April at the IPB Baranangsiang. (AVR)
