IPB is Ready for Nationality KKN 2019 in Ternate and Tidore
To foster a high social spirit in dealing with problems in the community and to strengthen the spirit of nationalism, the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of IPB University held a National KKN Lecture. 2019 Nationality KKN itself was attended by 43 universities in Indonesia.
For the success of the event, LPPM IPB held a coordination or preparation visit to the location of the 2019 National Community Service Community in Ternate and Tidore. The visit was led by the Head of LPPM IPB, Dr. Aji Hermawan and Deputy Head of LPPM IPB for Community Service, Prof. Sugeng Heri Suseno, Wednesday-Thursday (6-7 / 3).
Head of LPPM IPB, Dr. Aji Hermawan said the Ternate Islands and Tidore grew on earth that rich with spices. IPB hopes that this wealth can open up creative ideas from the participants of the IPB Nationalism KKN. Nationalism KKN is to instill the value of nationalism and nationalism in the midst of Indonesia’s diversity which consists of various ethnicities, religions and ethnicities.
“KKN participants will be selected from campus activists. The hope is that they can be inspired to become leaders who love the Republic of Indonesia. Nationalism KKN has the nuance to instill a sense of love for the homeland as well as create state defense,” he said.
While Prof. Sugeng Heri Suseno said that IPB students are ready to participate fully in the Nationalism KKN which will be held in the upcoming July 2019 in Ternate and Tidore Islands with enthusiasm and responsibility.
“The selection of Community Service Programs in Ternate and Tidore is the right step because students can learn directly about nationalism and love for the land of the people of Ternate and Tidore,” he said.
Meanwhile, Rector of Chairun University, Prof. Husen Alting said that the islands of Ternate and Tidore belonged not only to the citizens of Ternate and Tidore, but to the Indonesian people. “So students don’t need to feel foreign here,” he said.
While the Ternate Regional Secretary, M. Tauhid Soleman and the Secretary of Tidore Asrul Sani Soleman expressed their gratitude to all the colleges of the National KKN participants who had deployed their students to help with problems that existed in the community, both in terms of agriculture, education, health and environment (RYS)
