IPB officially opens the Student Service Center
IPB University inaugurated the Student Service Center (SSC) on Wednesday (30/1) at the IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor. The student service center located behind the rectorate building is intended for students who wish to apply for student services such as academics, scholarships, student activities, information and communication technology (ICT), service facilities and other services needed by IPB students.
“IPB strives to provide good and friendly services to students who need services. Therefore, we overhaul the system. The students always see how the service is, and if it is good, they will pray for better improvement too” said the Chancellor of IPB University, Dr. Arif Satria.
This SSC, added Dr. Arif, also provides a lounge for students to hang out, so they will not feel bored. The SSC building is also equipped with a coffee cafe that provides various kinds of coffee drinks as well as light and heavy meals.
With the launching of this student service center or SSC, student services will be centered in one place. Not only that, in the future, the service system will be online-based so that students can take care of files online. The files are uploaded by students through a system that has been provided and can monitor the progress of their files. If the submitted file has been completed, students can take it in the SSC office in accordance with the predetermined schedule.
Dr. Arif Satria admitted, to improve service to students, IPB will repair the student center building. According to him, this student center building is important considering that there are so many and varied activities of IPB students which need a comfortable place.
Until now, IPB has built a lounge in the General Competency Education Program (PPKU) building and library. Therefore, students can take advantage of these lounge facilities according to their individual needs. In the future, faculties at IPB are also asked to build lounges intended for students so that students can comfortably work on academic tasks. (Rosyid/Zul)
