Githaprasa, Festive Candidate for New Candidates for Agria Swara IPB
The Agria Swara Student Choir of the Bogor Institute of Agriculture (PSM Agria Swara IPB) is one of the places for the expression, interests, and talents of IPB students in the arts, especially vocals. Since its establishment in 1986, PSM Agria Swara has made many achievements both at home and abroad. To achieve these various awards and achievements, of course you need great people in them.
In an effort to get a great and qualified generation, prospective new members of PSM Agriaswara must prove themselves that they are worthy to join PSM Agria Swara. This self-evidentiary event was proven by the holding of the group concert entitled ‘Githaprasa.
The force concert is a routine concert held every year to welcome and inaugurate the new member of PSM Agria Swara IPB. This concert is also the last stage of coaching activities for prospective new members of PSM Agria Swara IPB. The purpose of coaching itself is to prepare and hone the abilities of prospective new members in the choir field.
Aside from being the title of the concert, Githaprasa also became the name of the class for the new members of PSB Agria Swara IPB. The word Githaprasa is taken from Sanskrit and has the meaning of “songs that are like strands of pearls that have noble hopes.” Through the Githaprasa generation concert, it is hoped that the new members of PSM Agria Swara IPB can better understand the united differences in chorus harmony harmony.
“This batch of concerts was the first step for all new members of PSB Agria Swara IPB to dedicate themselves in the art of vocal. I congratulate you on Githaprasa’s brothers at PSM Agria Swara, IPB, ”said Yonathan Arderian Mantik, Chair of the IPB Agria Swara PSM.
To the new members, Yonathan advised to enjoy every learning process at the PSB Agria Swara IPB. According to him, this learning process aims to forge yourself to become a better person and can inspire in terms of singing and organization.
The Githaprasa force concert features various songs from the archipelago and abroad. The performance was divided into two sessions. In the first session, the song was sung titled Wanita by Ismail Marzuki; Abschied vom Wald; Ihr Brüder, Lieben Brüder Mein; Amor Vittorioso; and Caccia d’Amore. While in the second session, the song sung was titled La Sirena; Tanxen und Springen; Ach weh des Leiden; Leron Leron Shinta; and the Kaulinan Slave Medley. The songs are sung in groups, there are at least six groups singing these songs.
At the end of the concert, the PSM Agria Swara emblem was attached to the representatives of new members as proof that they had been officially accepted as members of the Swara IPB Agri IPM. At the same time, appreciation was also given to groups with the best tenor categories, the best soprano, the best alto, the best bass, the best song interpretation, the best make-up, the best costumes and the best groups.
To date, IPB Agria Swara PSM has received various achievements, such as the 1st Prize in the 54th Montreux Choral Festival, Swiis in 2018, Gold Medal and Winner of the Adult Mixed Choir Category at the 2017 XXB ITB Choir Festival, Gold Medal and Winner of the Choir Category Similar to the 2017 XXV ITB Choir Festival, Interpretation of the Best Compulsory Song in the 2017 XXB ITB Choir Festival, was invited as a Choir at the Independence Concert with Twilite Orchestra with 2017 conductor Addie MS, invited as a Choir at the Joint Pancasila Day Commemoration Ceremony conductor Addie MS in 2017, and 1st Prize in The 4th Edition of City of Derry, International Choral Festival in Derry, Northern Ireland in 2017.
