FMIPA Family Day: Make FMIPA IPB as the Second Home

To bond relationship between its students, education support staff, and teaching staff, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) held FMIPA Family Day at IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor (15/12). This event was started by Jalan Pagi Sehat (Japas) and traditional games.

“We want to strengthen the relationship among academic community of FMIPA IPB. Not only the lecturers, staff and students, this event was also participated by the children of staff’s family. They participated in various games such as coloring, inserting nail in to a bottle, and moving the marbles,” said Chief Executive, Dr. Henny Purwaningsih, S.Si., M.Si.

She said this activity is an annual event in welcoming the third semester students who has started entering the faculty. Previously they attended General Competency Education Program (PPKU) for one year. After graduated from PPKU, these students start taking lectures at their own faculties.

Meanwhile, Dean of FMIPA IPB, Dr. Ir. Sri Nurdiati in her speech hoped these students make FMIPA as the second home. Dr. Sri also left a message to the lecturers to make students as comfortable as possible in studying at FMIPA IPB.(qa)
