World Class Professor Program Improves Academic Atmosphere at IPB
The 14th QA Asia Pacific Professional Leaders in Education and Exhibition (QS-APPLE) in 2018 was held at Chung Ang University, Korea from 21-23 November 2018, with the theme "Future University in the Asia Pacific: The Changing Face of Higher Education".
IPB Delegation led by Deputy Rector for Cooperation and Information Systems, Prof. Dr. Ir. Dodik Ridho Nurrochmat, M.Sc.F took part in the activity. IPB is one of 58 colleges that open information booths on international cooperation activities such as summer courses, international classes and research collaboration.
On the first day, Director of the International Program of IPB, Prof. Dr. Iskandar Z Siregar presented a paper entitled Lessons Learned from World Class Proficiency (WCP) at Bogor Agricultural University. He said that the increase in inbound mobility of the world class scholars or professors is expected to improve the more productive academic atmosphere. Through this new competitive program launched by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, IPB managed to obtain funding support to carry out mobility (entry and exit) activities classified into the WCP B Scheme (6 activities) and WCP A Scheme (1 activity) . Both activities are directed primarily to produce international publications indexed in leading scientific journals.
Meanwhile, related activities are also expected to increase the host's research capacity. At present, IPB has partnered with a number of world-class professors from various institutions from North America, Japan and Europe.
