Online Learning, IPB Becomes Reference of 19 Deputy Chancellor
The Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) is one of the learning references in the network (online) or commonly called online learning from 19 Vice Chancellors for Academic Affairs of the Western Region State Higher Education Cooperation Agency (PTN). The group of 19 vice-chancellors was warmly welcomed by the Chancellor of IPB, Dr. Arif Satria in the IPB Dramaga Campus Academic Senate Meeting Room, Monday (19/11). The vice-chancellors visited IPB to conduct a Discussion on Stabilizing the Implementation of Higher Education Blended Learning. Chairperson of the Forum of Vice Chancellors for Academic Affairs of West BKS-PTN, Dr. H. Fatah Sulaiman, ST, MT, said, "In the future under the coordination of the Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, they want to focus on implementing online learning, wanting to strengthen, want to move forward together, one of the references is IPB first. Besides that, we also discussed welcoming the 4.0 industrial revolution. "
Vice Chancellor for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Drajat Martianto said, this meeting was in the context of discussion and sharing of online college development after previously studying together at the Open University.
In his speech, the Chancellor of IPB, Dr. Arif Satria said that PTNs were considered superior to Private Universities (PTS), but now we are faced with uncertainty, and anyone can overtake. Although college is small but can be maneuverable and agile, he can become big. "It is like a big university is a tronton car, if you are asked to maneuver, you need more strategies. Because the power of the future is not based on the strength of assets, the strength of capital, capital or the number of students, but this depends on creativity and imagination. So those who have a strong imagination will survive, as well as agility, that is agility and speed, these two become our great strength, "explained.
Furthermore, the Chancellor of IPB said that besides the PTN culture is not as easy as in the private sector, the inability to the new strategic environment is dangerous. "For that, we will continue to be creative, fast and right. Don't be right but slow. The problem faced by PTN is currently the same. We are one culture. Transformation takes time. Like riding a ship, we must speed up before the storm comes first. This is part of the problem of convincing the public. Quickly read the signs. We have to cooperate with each other, we have to foster each other because we cannot be alone, we cannot compete, but we have to stand side by side. Regarding IPB learning to plan 10 percent of subjects for blended learning. We want to accelerate the blended learning process, organization, research supporting research 4.0. IPB is improving IT.
