IPB Vocational School Invites a German Expert to Improve the Curriculum of Their Study Programs

Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) Vocational School (SV) along with Senior Experten Service (SES) Germany held an even to improve the curriculum of the Industrial Management Study Program of the IPB Vocational School which was held in Cilibende Campus Bogor (3/10). This event invited an expert in the curriculum division from SES Expert Germany, Dr. Gerald Beykirch, who was ready to assist the lecturers of the IPB Vocational School to develop the curriculum as a study guideline which would be inline with what is needed.  

The goal of the workshop is to imporve the expertise and skills of the educational staff of SV IPB. The development of the human resources skills was done through discussions, learning and exchange of experience, especially curriculum improvement in the Industrial Management Program Study of SV IPB from the experts from SES Expert Germany.

Dr. Doni Yusri, one of the educatioal staff in the Study Program of Industrial Management, explained that the development of curriculum was directed towards the direction of gaining general values, concepts, problems, and skills which would become the contents of the curriculum.   

According to him, SES sent their experts in the curriculum department to deliver their knowledge, discussions, and teachings to developing countries such as Indonesia.

 “So this workshop was worthwhile participating in and very positive for the lecturers and educational staff of the Industrial Management Study Program SV IPB in improving and developing the curriculum,” he explained.

He hopes that in the future the workshop is not only implemented to the Industrial Management Study Program of SV IPB but also will be adopted by the other departments and faculties that are in IPB. (AVR)
