IPB and RSAU-MTAA Moscow–Russia: Strengthening the Students, Lecturers and Researchers Exchange

Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) represented by Dr.Arif Satria and University of Indonesia by Prof. Muhammad Anis on September 5th, 2018 in Moscow, Russia, have signed an agreement note with the Russian State Agrarian University – Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy, represented by Rector Prof Galina D. Zolin. The clauses consisted of two collaborations in education including students and lecturers exchanges and research in agricultural and environmental fields. The visit was part of visit agenda by Indonesian universities rectors and State Electric Company (PLN) on Russian energy establishment. As Russia is predicted to be the next World’s top tier economic superpower, IPB is highly motivated to have more collaboration particularly with RSAU–MTAA, one of the leading agricultural higher institution in Russia. Dr.Arif Satria also emphasized particular interest in agricultural technology advancement in East Europe. Currently, there are 3 Indonesian undergraduate students – majoring in Agronomy, Nutrition Technology and Environment – granted the Russian Government scholarship after one PhD student last year. Indonesian delegations afterwards went round the Timiryazev Agronomy and Soil Museum. RSAU–MTAA rector expressed her excitement for the planned visit to Indonesia soon.
