Waste is a classic problem that is often encountered in Indonesia. Starting from the habit of littering to bad waste management, are problems that have not been solved yet .

The low awareness of the Indonesian people on the obligation to dispose of garbage in its place can still be found in various regions. The absence of trash dumpster is still can be found in Kampung Nagrak, Jatisari Village, Bandung, West Java. This causes local residents to throw garbage carelessly and piled on the corner. Garbage strewn across the street is a common sight for locals. The low awareness to live clean and healthy in a comfortable environment has not been felt by residents of Kampung Nagrak.

A group of Bogor Agricultural University students (IPB) who are restless to see the condition of the village took the initiative to create a program that aims to educate local residents to pay more attention to the cleanliness of the environment. Through the Student Creativity Program (PKM-M) 2018, this group of students created a program entitled "Kampung Superhero" as model village in Jatisari Village, Bandung, West Java.

They are Andre Sandhika, Perdana Raihan Garin Naufaldary, Delia Siti Nur Azizah, Evita Febriana and Maria Jacklyn. Under the supervision of Febriantina Dewi, SE, MM, M. Sc, Andre and his team took initiative to create an agent that is able to inspire the local people to get used to clean life. Thus, the local community became a useful society for Jatisari Village, Bandung, West Java

"This PKM-M program is designed based on the problem that occurs in the community especially in Kampung Nagrak, Jatisari Village, Bandung, West Java RW 7 and RW 2. The condition of the village is in great need of attention in various aspects such as personal hygiene and environment. The information we collected was accurate because one of our group members, Delia Siti Nur Azizah, came from the village," said one of the team members, Raihan Garin Naufaldary.

The program is implemented gradually, where a group of IPB students come to the location to study how to overcome the main problems in the area of ??the waste. There are five programs done by theteam that are named after American super heroes. The superheroes appeared in the Marvel Comics and DC Comics (Detective Comics), those are Iron-man, Ant-Man, Batman, and Groot.

"Our programs are related to each other. The first program implemented is Iron-man. The program aims to form a team of Ant-man, Batman, and Groot along with its team leader. It is hoped that the team can become an agent that is responsive to environmental problems. In addition, the three teams must contribute to continue the programs that have been run by the team of students in the long term," he said.

Meanwhile, Ant-man program is to familiarize the life of living together to increase community participation to protect the environment. The next program is named Batman. Local people are invited to learn to make inorganic bins made together. They provide garbage cans in some corners so that people can cultivate to dispose of waste in place.

Hopefully with the direction of making this inorganic trash bin, local people have the skills to make organic waste bins independently. In addition to making the trash, the output generated from the batman program is the creation of a garbage bank.

"Furthermore, Groot as a tree man in Marvel Comics is used as our third team program that is making verticulture plants and making organic fertilizers independently. We share knowledge directly with the local people to plant in the narrow space by utilizing the vertical field. In addition, we also educate the community about proper farming practices and procedures for making organic fertilizer," he explained.

Waste bins in the Batman program are made unique to resemble basketball hoops. This is done to attract the attention of the community to dispose waste in its place, especially in children.

"The culture of dumping in its place should be applied as early as possible. So, we made waste bins to make people have their own fun when throwing waste in its place. The garbage bank created in this program is coordinated directly by the Batman team leader, "he added.

The task of the Batman team, which consisting of local residents, is to sort out organic and inorganic waste as well as to record the name of citizens who deposit the plastic bottle waste to be directly exchanged for a certain nominal or saved up to a certain nominal until it is accumulated large enough, explained Evita Febriana.

The programs implemented are adapted to village conditions such as the complex environmental problems of Kampung Nagrak. Starting from the awareness of the community is still low to maintain the cleanliness of the environment and village stakeholders who still need education that can increase public awareness of the environment.

"Stakeholders encourage us to continue to educate people to always get clean and healthy lives. For example, taking out the garbage in its place and accustom the habit of working together. Local people are also happy to accept our arrival and work together well," explained one member of the team, Raihan Garin Naufaldary. (FM)
