IPB Moves to Virtual Learning
Directorate of Educational Program and Technology Development of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) held a training on "Improving Lecturer's Capability in Virtual/Digital Learning Implementation" at Salak Tower Hotel, Bogor (19-21/7). This training was a response to the globalization of higher education in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 and 21st century skills, as a continuous effort of IPB to improve the quality of university.
"The purpose of this training is to improve the lecturer's ability in conducting learning by integrating Information Technology (IT fussion) in the form of virtual or digital learning or online by utilizing Learning Management System (LMS) of IPB," said Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs, Ir. Drajat Martianto, M.Sc, in front of 36 lecturers from various departments within IPB who were participants of this activity.
This training was expected to further strengthen the awareness of lecturers about the need to develop teaching techniques through blended learning system. The output of this training was the formation of a virtual/digital/online learning mapping program for specific topics that are relevant to be given online which are then integrated into the Semester Learning Plan of the courses.
