IPB Host External Movev of PKM 2018
Students Creativity Program (PKM) 2018 that is organized by Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) RI has been reached the stage of Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev). Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) is the host for Monev PKM which will placed at Common Class Rooms, IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor, Tuesday – Thursday (17-19/7).
Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ir. Drajat Martianto, M.Sc very appreciated the effort from all students and universities participants as the embodiment of the love for sciences and also the high curiosity that is wanted to be proved through their works. “This is showing that all PKM participants are remarkable fighters, who are ready to come front and to excel in the arena of National Students Scientific Week (PIMNAS) 2018,” he implied.
Dr. Drajat added that in the future IPB will make best efforts to produce graduates who has character “Smart Learner”. “Now we are facing the era of rapid changes, so IPB aspires our students to become learners who are never satisfied to keep learning, always willing to learn, and agile in learning, so then they will be ready to face the changes. The aim is so we can contribute in development and be useful for this nation,” Dr. Drajat said.
Meanwhile, Director of Student Affairs and Career Development IPB, Dr. Alim Setiawan Slamet conveyed that during these three days, all participants of Monev PKM will account their PKMs which has been funded by Kemenristekdikti RI 2018.
“Monitoring and evaluation is done to 140 best teams from IPB and 14 best teams from private universities those are Nusa Bangsa University, Djuanda University, Ibn Khaldun University, Pakuan University, Suryakencana University and Muhammadiyah University Sukabumi. The number of team for each category are 22 teams of PKM Entrepreneurship (PKM-K), 7 teams of PKM Technology (PKM-T), 57 teams of PKM Research (PKM-PE), 27 teams of PKM Community Empowerment (PKM-M), 19 teams of PKM Karsa Cipta (PKM-KC), and 8 teams of PKM Social Humanity Research (PKM-PSH),” he explained.
Monev that held in IPB is organized with objective to monitor and to evaluate the progress that has been executed or conducted by PKM participants after their proposed PKM proposals has been selected. Students should to give their best efforts in presenting their works as good as possible. Since this Monev is the stage to select eligible PKM teams to join the PIMNAS 2018. PIMNAS 2018 itself is scheduled to be held at Yogyakarta State University (UNY). (qa)
