IPB Alumni Increase Contribution Through Forum Alumni Gathering
In order to improve the synergy and contribution of alumni to the alma mater and the nation, the Bogor Agricultural University Alumni Association (HA IPB) organized Halal bi Halal and Alumni Silaturahim Forum on Thursday night (12/7). Halal bi Halal activities and Silaturahim Forum were held at Manggala Wanabakti Auditorium Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Jakarta.
Alumni Silaturahim Forum aims to accommodate the alumni of IPB to keep in touch with each other and to increase the role of alumni to IPB alma mater and to the nation.
"Hopefully this halal bi halal can connect the ties of friendship and unite the hearts of alumni IPB. Not only that, through this silaturahim forum can be consolidated between alumni, "said Rector of IPB, Dr. Arif Satria.
In his speech, Dr. Arif said that IPB has the vision to be a campus of Technosocioentrepreneur University which requires its alumni to become technopreneurs and sociopreuneurs. The alumni of IPB must be able to mobilize the society to participate in advancing the nation.
As a process to realize alumni who have a technosociopreneur soul, currently IPB open registration of the Chairman of OSIS and build boarding leadership. Other programs were undertaken to realize the vision of becoming technosocioentrepreneur are IPB Share, IPB Excel, IPB Care, IPB Green, IPB Smart, IPB Lead, and IPB Biz.
In Halal bi Halal and Silaturahim Forum attended by alumni of IPB from various forces and have participated in various agencies also held a sharing session with the Minister of Environment and Forestry (LHK), Dr. Siti Nurbaya. Sharing session is the theme "Making a Solid, Synergistic and Contribute Alumni IPB for Alumni, and Nation.
"When talking about alumni meetings, there is two main essence which is networking and feedback given as a contribution form," said Dr. Siti Nurbaya, Minister of LHK.
Dr. Siti Nurbaya said that to build a strong networking there must be mechanism and network center that accommodate. While the contribution or feedback is the content of experience, knowledge, and challenges.
"Experience and knowledge are important for the campus, especially in contributing to campus and state," said Dr. Siti Nurbaya.
The launching of mentorship leader program and HA IPB card is also conducted in this event. The mentorship program is awarded to alumni students who are selected to be mentee through the selection process. Mentee selected by the main criteria which are academic value and organizational experience or non-academic achievement. The mentor comes from IPB alumni commissioned by HA IPB to guide alumni students.
The HA IPB member card is given to all alumni who have registered to become alumni of IPB. Symbolically, the IPA member card is given by the Rector of IPB to Dr. Siti Nurbaya who is an alumnus of IPB batch 14.
There are advantages of being an HA IPB member which is a BNI bank debit card that can be used as a tapcash for ATM transactions, commuterline payments, trans Jakarta and other payments. (flw)
