Waterless Dish Washing with DISHUE by IPB Students

Outdoor activists, namely traveller or humanitarian activist, now do not need to find water when they want to clean their dishwares, such as a plate, cup, or other containers. Five students of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) offered an innovative solution by creating DISHUE (Dish Washing without Watering, as a Solution for a Better Travelling).
DISHUE is a tissue which purpose is to clean dishware without the use of water. The five students are Nauvaldy Achmad Fachreza, Tsabitah Shofiyana, Jihan Suraya, Anggita Nurul Annisa, and Alfiyyah Hasanah. Under the supervision of Dr. Dwi Setyaningsih, this Student Creativity Program in Entrepreneurship (PKM-K) with the title of "DISHUE: Dish Washing Without Watering, as a Solution For A Better Travelling" is successfully qualified to be funded by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of Republic of Indonesia (Kemenristekdikti). With this product, these students hope that they could help ease the outdoor activists or society in general to clean their dishware.
The main ingredient of DISHUE is a flexible and not easily torn tissue. There is a solution which can remove the fat and dirt on the dishware. This product is sold with the price of Rp 6000 per packet, with 6 sheets of DISHUE in each packet. The advantage of this tissue beside its cleansing ability is its aroma. DISHUE comes with two variants of aroma; lemon and green tea. This aroma also helps remove the stench odor from the dishware.
"This tissue can be used in various dishware materials, such as plastic, melamine, stainless steel, etc. After a dishware is cleaned with this tissue, it can be used again because every ingredient within this tissue is safe. We produce this tissue in Bogor and we have begun to receive orders from Bogor and its surroundings. As for marketing, we have done it via multiple social media," said Naufal. (CN)
