IPB and Alumni Association Held Interclass Hospitality Gathering for Echelon I Alumni
Directorate Of Partnership And Alumni Relations (DKHA) Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) cooperated with Alumni Association (HA) IPB to held Interclass Hospitality Forum (FSA) IPB. The event, titled "Alumni Solidarity and Collaboration in Developing Nation", was held in Graha Sawala, Ali Wardhana Building, Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Central Jakarta (04/05). Good responses were shown by IPB Alumni, marked by the presence of approximately 50 alumni from different professional backgrounds.
IPB Rector, Dr. Arif Satria, which was accompanied by numbers of officials, namely Vice Rectors, Deans, and Directors, conveyed that IPB will soon build an integrated farming system in Cikabayan and Sukamantri. Besides that, IPB Dramaga campus will be further redecorated with the existence of garden in the roundabout in front of the main campus gate."The improvement of all sector in our beloved campus cannot be separated with the help of our alumni", said Dr. Arif Satria.
"The strong bond between alumni becomes very important for a university. Alumni must build a strong solidarity so that the students can be more helped and directed in welcoming post-campus life. Alumni Association can also be an actor to foster the development of start-up idea in the campus", said Ir. Fathan Kamil, as the Head of Alumni Association IPB.
Directorate Of Partnership And Alumni Relations IPB, Dr. Heti Mulyati, stated that an event with alumni is very important to be conducted periodically until there are synergy and collaboration between alumni and IPB for the development of IPB and Indonesia in the future. "The strength of IPB alumni is so great, nevertheless, like puzzles, it will be more meaningful and beneficial if the puzzles are connected together. Take a look at Harvard University, it becomes that great because of the strength of its alumni", she added.
In the discussion that was conducted with kinship, the alumni delivered their aspirations for the curriculum improvement for IPB students so that there will be a balance between left and right brain. Those aspirations are expected to create graduates with the capability of a leader to develop Indonesia's agriculture. The alumni were very supportive towards IPB's stance that leads to IPB Revolution 4.0.
Also present were some notable IPB alumni that are currently sitting as Echelon I officials in numerous fields. Those who were present are; Bambang Aji Winarso (Plt. Secretary of Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs), Musdhalifah Machmud (Deputy for Coordination of Food and Agriculture, Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs), Bambang Prijambodo (Expert Staff of Minister of National Development Planning for Superior Sector and Bappenas Infrastructure), Rina (Head of Fish Quarantine, Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries), Agung Kuswandono (Deputy Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs for Maritime Affairs), Mat Syukur (Expert Staff of Minister on Trade and International Relations, Ministry of Agriculture), Harris Iskandar (Directorate General of Early Childhood Education and Community Education Ministry of Education and Culture), Enny Sudarmonowati (Deputy for Biological Sciences, Indonesian Institute of Sciences), Kasan (Head of Trade Asessment and Development, Ministry of Trade), Muhammad Taufiq (Expert Staff of Productivity and Competitiveness, Ministry of Cooperatives and Small & Medium Enterprises).
The Head of Alumni Network Strengthening and Existence, Central Board (DPP) HA-IPB, Dr. Dudi Hendrawan said that the task that was given to him is expected to succeed in making networks with alumni, consolidating them, building solidarity, and being contributive for almamater, fellow alumni, and nation. "I hope that motto One Heart, One IPB will push everyone in IPB family to support each other", he said.
