IPB Rector Launched A Number of Exciting Policies for Students in His First 100 Days of Rectorship
Rector of the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Dr. Arif Satria, officially launched a policy related to the auditorium and free space for student and work unit activities. Rector announced this policy in the Rector Dialogue "the First 100 Days of New IPB’ Rector" at Mandiri Auditorium, IPB Campus, Dramaga, on 25 March 2018 evening. In addition to the auditorium and spaces policy, Dr. Arif also launched an IT-based application “the IPB Mobile Apps”. The newly applied technologies will provide access to a vast array of information and various services available in IPB. Not less exciting, the rector also issued a new policy of free daytime shuttle service around campus (buses and electric cars). But for data passengers collection deduction Rp 1,- of electronic money will required.
The dialogue which was attended by various cohorts of students was really the forum for student meeting with the new rector to convey various aspirations freely and to acquaint his policies. In front of the students of IPB, the rector also expressed his commitment in realizing the beautiful and comfortable campus environment such as the development of a number of parks in IPB. There are 47 parks to be developed under the funding support of IPB alumni of various Faculties of IPB. "Before the new students of cohort 55 arrive in IPB this year, we have targeted that the parks will be completed so that new students will feel more comfortable in IPB," said Rector.
Rector’ dialogue received a warm welcome from the audience and engaged the students in a lively dialogue session. Students showed their high enthusiasm by raising variety of questions. Their questions included the policy of Single Tuition (UKT), academic facilities, campus facilities and infrastructure to policies related to student services.
"Critical thinking, communication, creative thinking, and collaboration are vital in the workplace, at home, and in virtually every interaction IPB students should be," he said before signing the commitment statement presented by students.
Before the dialogue, Dr. Arif presented the IPB Strategic Plan in the future and several policy to be implemented. Also present in the Dialogue are vice rectors, Secretary of the Institute and a number of Directors / Chief Bureaus and a number of other IPB officials who actively engaged in dialogue with students.
