IPB Goes to School to Banjarnegara
IPB Goes to School (IGTS) is an annual program of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) that involve the Organisasi Mahasiswa Daerah (Omda Regional Student Organization) to go directly to high schools throughout Indonesia. One of the participants for the current IGTS work programs is Omda Banjarnegara, who are members of the Ikatan Keluarga Mahasiswa Banjarnegara (Ikamabara Banjarnegara Student Association). With the theme "Sowan Umah" (visiting home), as many as 20 members of Ikamabara visited 13 SMA / SMK / MA in Banjarnegara.
"We can see enthusiasm of various parties to welcome to the event. Approximately 1,500 students participated the said event was evident of their enthusiasm. When they were asked to express their impression on the these IGTS program, their responses mostly were positive. According to them, they were pleased with the visit of IPB representatives to their schools. Similarly, teachers in every school, were happy with this IGTS program, "said the committee, Fauzan Azhari.
Fauzan said the selected theme of "Sowan Umah" seemed to give the good impression of closeness in brotherhood Ikamabara fought out there, it will keep returning sowan umah (visiting home), Banjarnegara Gilar Gilar.
At the end of the roadshow session, a question-and-answer session was planned and it was greeted enthusiastically by the students. Frequently asked questions (FAQ) or Questions and Answers (Q&A), was about IPB Admission Systems for new students, faculty and majors, tips and tricks to be admitted into the university especially IPB, as well as life in the university in general. "Hopefully, students who have learned about IPB in detail, will pursue their higher degree program in IPB, and return home to practice what they will have learned to develop their areas, Banjarnegara," said Fauzan.
