Messages From Rector for IPB Graduates

Directorate of Career Development and Alumni Relations (DPKHA) of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) held Studium Generale of Pre-Graduation (16/1) at Andi Hakim Nasoetion Auditorium, IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor. This event aimed to give an idea to the fresh graduates who will enter the real career path.

Rector of IPB, Dr. Arif Satria, congratulated the graduates who had achieved brilliant academic achievement. "Let’s welcome the real world by living and working in the midst of society. To gain a happy future, it is necessary to prepare the future plans properly. The future will be shaded by luck, then that luck arises when opportunities meet preparation, so we must prepare the future very well. Not everyone can plan his own life, therefore, we must also be able to learn to compose the future without the influence of many people," he said.

The Rector added that graduates should be able to make good decisions in finding work. There are few tips for choosing a job, such as looking for a favorite job and working with heart, so we will feel happy while working and the results of our work will also be good.

"It is hoped that graduates can make future plans soon, it is impossible to get happiness without good plans. Everything needs a plan, therefore, let’s start preparing and compiling some plans that can make the future more certain and guaranteed," he said.

In this Studium General of Pre-Graduation, two resource persons, namely Abdul Aziz (Director of Detikcom) and Doto Yogantoro (Chairman of Pentingsari Tourism Village, Yogyakarta), were also presented to deliver motivation and passion in seeking a job. (TK)
