IPB Students Won As Many 13 Awards in Taiwan
Bogor Agricultural University students (IPB) again recorded a brilliant achievement in the international arena in the Pacific Student Agriculture Student Summit and Undergraduate Project Competition 2017 in Taiwan. As many as 13 awards were successfully won and brought back to Indonesia.
The Asian Pacific Agriculture Student Summit and Undergraduate Project Competition 2017 is an annual event organized by the International College, National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, with the cooperation between Ministry of Education of Taiwan, National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, the Research Center for Energy Technology and Strategy of the National Cheng Kung University, and International Affairs National Pingtung University of Science and Technology.
"There are three topics for competition, namely Agriculture and Life Science, Engineering and Energy, and Management and Humanities. The team that passed the initial selection were 38 teams with 49 titles, they were from 16 world universities and 8 countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand, Budapest, Jamaica, and Philippines)," Said Latiful one of IPB team.
There are 18 awards competed by all participants of this international event. Each category competed for First, Second, Third Prize, Best Oral Presentation, Best PPT Award, and Best Technical Content. Out of the total 18 awards, the IPB team won 13 awards to bring home.
For Agriculture and Life science, Andriyani P of the Department of Nutrition and Feed Science, was the first Winner, Puput Noerfitriani Muzzayyanah of the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, was the second winner, and Natassa Kusumawardany of the Plant Protection Department, was the third winner. While, Guntur Putra Pratama of the Computer Science obtained Outstanding Technical Content, Zulfa Az Zahroh of the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, obtained an outstanding PPT Presentation Award.
For Engineering and Energy, Deli Situmorang of the Department of Agroindustrial Technology was the first winner, Anden Siti Fatimah of the Department of Soil Science and Land Resources, was the second winner. While Siti Muthaharoh of the Department of Land Resources Management, won the Best PPT Award, Ken Rizkyna of the Department of Fisheries Resource Utilization won 3rd Place for oral presentation.
Finally for Humanities and Management, Latiful Akbar of the Department of Biology, was the first winner, Lutfi Ilham Pradipta of the Department of Department of Agroindustrial Technology was the 2nd winner, and Chiara Nadya Tanudjaja of the Department of Agroindustrial Technology was the third winner. While Bagas Adji P of the Department of Silviculture, won the Outstanding Technical Content.
The thirteen awards won by IPB in the international arena had showed the world that IPB has been doing agricultural innovations. (Wied)
