IPB Has Launched the Fajr Prayer Movement
The Board of Prosperity of Mosque (DKM) Al-Hurriyyah of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) invited all IPB academicians to perform Qiyamul Lail Movement and congregational Subuh prayer with the theme "Bangun Karakter Kehidupan Sivitas Akademika IPB dengan Cinta Masjid (Character Building of Academic Community of IPB by Loving Mosque)". Present in this Festive Movement were Rector of IPB, Dr. Arif Satria; Foster Friend Subuh, Prof. Dr. KH. Didin Hafidhuddin; Chairman of DKM Al-Hurriyyah IPB, Dr. Asep Nurhalim; the Executive Boards of IPB, and IPB students. This activity was held at Masjid Al-Hurriyyah Campus IPB Dramaga, Bogor, on 6 January 2018.
IPB Rector stressed the importance of congregational Subuh prayer in the mosque. He said, Subuh prayer has opened one of the gates of heaven that our day will be full of blessing. "Because we begin with meaning and light of guidance. Fajr prayer is a special prayer from other prayers, in addition there are so many virtues in the implementation. To fulfill this prayer we must fight the extraordinary drowsiness and rise to leave the soft mattress and the warm blanket, "he said. “Those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, and establish regular prayers and regular charity — they will have their reward with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.”
Rector again stressed on Al-Baqarah verse 30, it is said "Remember when your Lord said to the angels, verily I want to make a caliph in the earth. They say, why do you want to make the (Caliph) on earth the one who will make damage to him and shed blood, while we always glorify by praising you and sanctifying you? "The Lord said:" I know what you do not know. "
“Do you not see that Allah (swt) has made what is in the heaven and Earth subservient to you and made complete to you His favours outwardly and inwardly?” "The point is that we are created by Allah SWT on earth, the main purpose is to worship, believe, trust, to do good, create peace, nurture and love fellow human beings. The Earth is green and beautiful, and Allah has appointed you his stewards over it. The ultimate goal so that we run the wheel of life on earth with peace and prosperity, "he said.
Meanwhile, Foster Friend Subuh, Prof. Didin Hafidhuddin gave tausyiah about civilization starting from the mosque. He explained, the mosque is a central place that became the center of the gathering of Muslims to worship Sang Khaliq. The mosque is also a place for Muslims to develop Islam. "In the time of the Prophet, the mosque was not only a place to worship, but the mosque was also used as a means to build civilization, from this mosque Islamic civilization spread all over the world," he explained.
Prof. Didin said the condition (glory) of human has been influenced by the quality of worship. Islam can’t expanded if the movement of dawn prayers in congregation has not existed. It won’t lead in political, economic, educational and technological aspects if such fundamental deeds have not been massive among Muslims. The mosque will not show the impact of a great civilization if positive activities like this are not done in the mosque. "The morning prayer movement should begin to be massive," he said.
He asserted, the mosque is not only functioning as a place to pray or worship only, but also other positive activities. Since the time of Rasulullah SAW, the mosque was functioned as a place for study, the center of government activity, and so on, so that the mosque became the central civilization of a nation. "Alhamdulillah, these functions have been revived by some Muslims, but others have not," he added. After dawn prayers in congregation, togetherness was continued by having congregational breakfast.
