DKM Al-Hurriyyah IPB Held the Training on Hajj and Umroh 2018
Dewan Kemakmuran Masjid / Council of Mosque Prosperity (DKM) Al-Hurriyyah of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) organized “Pelatihan Haji dan Umroh 2018 / Training on Hajj and Umroh 2018”, in Session Room 1 of Mosque Al-Hurriyyah, Campus of IPB Dramaga, Bogor (12/1). This activity was in order to improve the understanding of the civitas of IPB about the worship of hajj and umroh.
On this occasion, one of the resource persons of the training, Ustad Syamsuddin, delivered the material on “Mempersiapkan Haji dan Umroh / Preparing for Hajj and Umroh” . He said, the hajj was a worship that was only required for those who had been able, because it was not all muslims that had the ability to perform the worship of hajj. Being able here was capable of everything. Because the worship of umroh and hajj was the worship that required a lot of preparation, not only the financial preparation, but also the self-preparation, both physically and mentally.
According to him, preparing for hajj and umroh was done, so that these two services could be smooth and khusyu. “Before deciding to go to the holy land and to prepare for something else, the first thing to be prepared is the intention. Straightening the intention of going to the holy land to carry out the fifth pillar of Islam, to fulfill Allah’s call and expecting only His blessings. If the intention is not for the worship, so it should immediately change the intention. Like, for example, wants to photographs, walks, gets the title of hajj, to be respected in the community, and so forth. Focusing on the intention to worship Allah, that’s the main thing,” he said.
He added, prepared physically well, physical exercise was needed to keep our body condition to stay healthy during carrying out the worship of hajj in the holy land. Did physical exercise preparation, such as routinely running or walking. He asserted, every practice we did should have something to do with the science. The charity which was done without knowledge, then the charity would be in vain or even be rejected. Therefore, it was very important to equip themselves with the science before performing the worship of hajj and umroh.
“Probably since a few months earlier, you have already done the manasik of hajj. However, the manasik of hajj is not enough, we also have to equip ourselves with the sciences that are not only related to the practice. Diligently reading the verses of Al-Quran about hajj, reading siroh nabawiyah to find out how Rasulullah SAW hajj, and reading a pocket book that has been given by the guide is also one of our efforts to increase knowledge. Of course, all that are done to equip ourselves with the knowledge of hajj and umroh in order the worship of hajj or umroh that we live in accordance with the guidance of Shari’a and can be accepted by Allah SWT,” he said.(Awl)
