IPB and Bogor Municipality Organized Training Course for Civil State Apparatus
In order to implement Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Tertiary Education), especially or the Community Service, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) in collaboration with the Municipal Government of Bogor organized the Training Course on " Pengembangan Etos Kerja dan Integritas Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) di Lingkungan Pemkot Bogor Menuju Proses Revolusi Mental untuk Pelayanan Publik (Development of Working Ethics and Integrity of Civil State Apparatus (ASN) of Bogor Municipality towards Mental Revolution Process for Public Service)". The event was implemented at Grand Mulya Bogor Resort and Convention Hotel, Gumati, on 3-4 November 2017.
The Chairman of he Organizing Committee, Warcito, MM, stated that the event was participated by 50 participants. "The objectives of the Training Course ware to improve and enhance the integrity of the professional performance of ASN. It is well understood, as far as possible as government civil servants they should discharge their ethical obligations and always keep their professional rights which are necessary for the safeguarding and promotion of the rights of service users, as stipulated in the PP No 11 of 2017 and strengthening reliable ASN teamwork," said Warcito who is also the Secretary of the P2SDM-LPPM IPB (Center for Human Resources Development) of the Institute of Research and Community Empowerment (LPPM) of IPB. The enhancing ASN understanding individually and institutionally on their duty will enable them to perform their duty appropriately.
Head of Personnel and Resources Development Apparatus (BKPSDA) of Bogor City Municipality Government, Dra. Fetty Qondarsyah, M.Si explained the importance of the said training. It is expected that Training Course will encourage the ASN members to have mental revolution, to develop the BKSDA into more professional apparatus. She further stated that the training is expected to improve the work ethic of ASN. At the end they will be clean bureaucracy, accountable ASN, to enable them to provide smooth, effective and efficient service to the communties.
Mayor of Bogor, Dr. Bima Arya Sugiarto, in his remarks also stated that the ASN of Bogor Municipality must be ready to read the changing times. " Technology is moving so fast that we can no longer reliably predict the future even a few years ahead. If you can read the challenges of the times, you will be survive. However, if you cannot accurately predict the future then you must flexibly be prepared to deal with various methods to be the winner," he said.
The Mayor also reminded that with the current technological progress, it should be read carefully by the Bogor City Government's ASN. Despite the technological advancements that enhance and permeate 21st-century life, Bogor Municipality still face challenges. One of the biggest is the integration of technology to streamline administrative processes. A strategy that some municipalities have used to increase economic growth is to manage their cities as an enterprise. "How ASN can deal with such sophisticated technological challenges, therefore, this training is important to cop challenge," he said.
The Organzing Committee invited inspirational speakers for the course, among them were Dr. Jamil Azzaini (Inspirator Sukses Mulia); Ir. Ridwan Hasan Saputra, MSi (Director of KPM and Inventor of State Defense Mathematics Game); as well as researcher P2SDM LPPM IPB, Ir. Yannefri Bakhtiar, M.Si. (Wied)
