Since its establishment in 2013 by Alfi Irfan, alumnus of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Agrisocio has been a company that continues to concentrate efforts on agriculture. Operating on the socio enterprise concept of doing business, Agrisocio has brought many changes to farmers in partner villages. This success attracted the attention of Development Bank of Singapore (DBS) as a partner bank of Agrisocio. Agrisocio is considered to be the  business institution that is very concerned on the social community for farmers in the village. Therefore DBS decided selected Agrisocio as one of DBS Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program beneficiaries.

In the official visit made by 85 DBS staff last week to the Agrisocio Learning Center in Kampung Pabuaran Sawah Cibanteng, Bogor District, representative of the Executive Boards of People of Purpose DBS, Daniel, expected that  the funding support provided by DBS CSR for farmers through Agrisocio could be beneficial and slightly increase the capital of farmers.

Alfi said that in the future agriculture will be a trend that will boost the growth of the Indonesian economy. The potential of youth as a mediator for upstream to downstream agriculture is enormous. "As long as humans can’t photosynthesize themselves, they  need foods to eat, then the agricultural entrepreneurs will be needed" he said. (Wied)
